Kadukkai or Haritaki, popularly known as Harde in Hindi, is considered an effective remedy for many health disorders and is known to be helpful in all 3 doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

As per Ayurveda, Haritaki is a potent laxative, rejuvenator, astringent, anti-bilious and anti-oxidant.

Its intake provides relief in a wide range of gastrointestinal issues like indigestion, heartburn, diarrhoea, flatulence and stomach pain.

It's also known to energize the body and is beneficial for skin and hair too.

Since Haritaki is anti-inflammatory in nature, it is used in treating various respiratory problems like the common cold, cough and flu, bronchitis and asthma.

When taken regularly, it is helpful in burning body fat, improving metabolism and hence weight loss.
