Red Rice is one of the traditional Indian rice varieties and is most similar to brown rice or white rice. 

It gets its colour from an antioxidant called anthocyanin found in this rice and has much more nutrient value as compared to many other varieties of rice. It is a whole grain which retains its rich content of iron, carbohydrates, zinc, protein, fat, potassium, vitamins B1, B2 & B6, antioxidants and dietary fibre. This rich nutrient content makes it highly beneficial for children.
